Biography:

Knuckles the Echidna, known as Nakkurusu in Japan, is a prominent character in Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is a red echidna known for his immense strength and the two large spiked knuckles on his hands, which he uses for combat and digging.

Knuckles' first appearance was in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in 1994. Initially portrayed as a guardian of the Master Emerald on Angel Island, he was tricked by Dr. Robotnik (later Dr. Eggman) into believing that Sonic and Tails were a threat.

Throughout the series, Knuckles evolves from an antagonist to a close ally of Sonic. He is often depicted as headstrong and independent, though sometimes naive. He is also known to sometimes use a Skateboard.
